Caramondani Desalination Plants Ltd., a subsidiary of the Caramondani Group (https://caramondani.com.cy/group/caramondani-desalination-plants/), one of the oldest and leading Cypriot engineering groups, have entrusted Hyperion Energy to deliver a turn-key Control System for a new Desalination Plant in the Paphos District, Cyprus.
Caramondani were awarded by the Cyprus Government Water Development Department (WDD) the contract to build-operate-transfer a new desalination plant with production capacity of 15,000 m3/day, with a possible future expansion to 30,000 m3/day.
The plant was designed by OSMO SISTEMI , an Italian leading company in the filtration, water treatment and reverse osmosis technologies and a member of the Caramondani Group.
The entire production feeds into the WDD water supply network.
Hyperion delivered a Honeywell ControlEdge PLC based production control system as well as a supervisory operators HMI SCADA System based on the leading Honeywell Experion HS technology platform.
