About Slavneft-Yanos Refinery

OAO Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YaNOS) is Slavneft’s largest oil refinery with a rated annual capacity of 15.0 mln tons. For the past eleven years the Refinery has been operating at full capacity.

YaNOS outputs over 100 types of products, including high-quality motor gasoline, eco-friendly diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, jet fuel, lube oils, bitumen (road, roofing, construction bitumen), paraffins and waxes, aromatic hydrocarbons and furnace fuel. Many of these products are included into the Russia’s top 100 goods. In 2009, OAO Slavneft-YaNOS was awarded the Prize of the Russian Federation Government for great achievements in the field of products quality enhancement and introduction of the effective management methods.

In 2005, YaNOS became the first Russian refinery to produce Premium Euro-95 gasoline and diesel fuel with the sulfur content of 50 ppm. In December 2006, the Refinery launched a new product line – eco-friendly EN 590 diesel fuel with ultra low sulfur content of 10 ppm. Today, OAO Slavneft-YaNOS is one of the industry leaders in production of fuels compliant with the European standards. Due to its ISO 9001:2000 certified quality management system, YaNOS can improve consumer properties of oil products and their production technologies.

From the end of the 1990s, YaNOS has been implementing a large-scale upgrade program. During this period, 19 major processing units were reconstructed and built, including construction of a high-end deep oil processing plant, consisting of hydro-cracking, visbreaking and catalytic reforming units.

In 2011, YaNOS launched Izomalk С5-С6 fractions isomerization unit, and cat-cracked gasoline hydrotreatment unit. Commissioning of these industrial facilities enabled the subsidiary to fully convert to production of motor gasolines and commercial diesel fuel under the environmental standard Euro-5 in 2012.
